Parents on Patrol - We will be starting soon!
This is a volunteer program that utilizes parents and guardians as extra sets of eyes and ears to assist in enhancing the security of our schools. This program is not meant to replace any current programs (ie: Watch DOGS), but will supplement the safety measures the District already has in place. POPs participants can be utilized to help monitor entrances/ exits, lunch rooms, etc. to be on the lookout for intruders or improper behavior. They can also help at sporting or other events where extra sets of eyes and ears may be helpful.
Interested parents and guardians will need to sign up for the POPs program on the KISD website, under the Volunteer section. Once you submit your application, a background check is performed. After the background check is completed, you are added to the list of POPs participants.
Congratulations to our 2018-2019 Spelling Bee Winner: Aadi Upadhuyayula!
