Howell Student-Participants Excelling In Classroom
At Francis Howell High School students involved in activities, clubs and sports are truly students first. The students involved in these activities gain great benefits from participation in activities outside of the classroom. By being involved in these activities students are developing skills that they otherwise would not get in the classroom. During the first semester our Vikings excelled in the classroom. You can view the academic accomplishments of our programs below. Congratulations to all of our coaches, sponsors and students for their efforts in the classroom and in their activity!

Howell Choir Continues To Achieve High Levels Of Success
The Missouri Music Educators Association hosts the MO All-State Honor Choir each year in conjunction with the MMEA conference where Educators from all over the state come to receive professional development. The conference is held at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Lake of the Ozarks. Madi Jackson was a representative from Howell who was selected through audition to participate in this highly acclaimed ensemble. The students rehearsed for four days and their work culminated in a performance for music directors and families of the students. The 16 students from St. Louis Metro 8 district combine with students all over the state to make up the honor choir of 200 voices. They work with a world renowned clinician on musical technique, musical style, connecting to the text of the music and so much more over this 3 day period. It is an incredible opportunity that many singers aspire to but only few get the honor to experience. Congratulations to Madi Jackson for representing FHHS and our choir program for their efforts!
