St. Anne School Family Newsletter

February 24, 2021

Dear St. Anne Parents,

As we gaze into the final 3-plus months of school here at St. Anne's, I want to let everyone know that there will be only one final date for students to return to in-school instruction. Monday, March 15, will be the last day that Distance Learning students can return to in-school instruction if they are thinking of returning to school. Those families who choose not to send their child back to school then will have their child complete the school year with Distance Learning. I want to again thank all of you for your on-going vigilance in following the health and safety guidelines set up for the various Departments of Health. Our school remains a safe and healthy educational environment for all our wonderful students, teachers, and staff. With more and more people getting vaccinated, we continue to hope that our lives will be able to return to some new "normal" by summer. It is also so important to remember in prayer all those individuals who have died of this virus. We continue to pray for those people and their grieving families.

Ash Wednesday Mass

Fr. Dan celebrated Ash Wednesday Mass outside last week. In-person students sat socially distanced and students from various classes did the readings. We were happy to have a number of adults in their cars joining us as well.

SCOLIOSIS IN CHILDREN

In May, Stanford's Children Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center will be here at school to screen all our in-person students in grades 5 - 8. Since scoliosis can be so debilitating, we want to be proactive in making sure that our students' spines are properly aligned and growing correctly. The following FAQ sheet is being offered for all our families as part of ongoing education. Fifth - eighth grade families will be receiving additional forms when we get closer to the actual scoliosis screening date of May 13. I hope you find the information sheet helpful.

GIRLS' UNIFORM ISSUE

Dennis Uniform called to say that they inadvertently sold the wrong style jumper to a number of our families. Since not all students are here at school, I am sending this to everyone asking that you check to see that you were sold the correct style jumper for your daughter. The correct jumper is on the left side of the picture below. If you were sold the jumper displayed on the right side, please call Dennis Uniform and they will happily correct their error.

Thank you.
