Entry and Dismissal Changes
Part of this process is ensuring we screen every student, every time they enter the building. Previously, we would not allow children into the building prior to 8:20 am, that has not changed. We are unable to accommodate any earlier time, as we need to set up our screening stations, make sure breakfast grab-n-go is ready, and allow teachers time to greet their students properly.
Since we have extra steps to follow when students arrive, it is very important for your student to be on time, arriving no later than 8:50 am. This will allow your student time to properly sanitize hands, be screened for temperature and symptoms, and get breakfast before the tardy bell rings at 8:55 am.
For dismissal, students who get picked up, or walk home will be dismissed at 3:30 pm. Please park in the general area your student will be dismissed and stay by your car, to wait for the teacher to bring your child around. This helps us maintain social distancing guidelines.
Kindergarten students will be dismissed through the south doors, in the south parking lot near the "Hug and Go" zone. Only Kindergarten parents will be allowed to pull into the parking lot, and they will have the rear-view mirror tag. Please talk to your child's Kindergarten teacher to get if you still need one of these.
First graders will be dismissed on the north side of the building, through their classroom exterior doors, and will walk toward Independence Street on the sidewalk.
B-Wing Mr. Hempstead, Ms. Halloran and Mrs. Triolo's classes will be dismissed through the main entry doors.
C-Wing Mrs. Yugel, Sra. Hatchett and Sra. Leffin's classes will be dismissed outside the gym doors.
5th graders will be dismissed outside of D-wing.
Our bus riders will be dismissed at 3:40 pm, right onto their proper bus. Please remember to practice social distancing while waiting for your student at the bus stop.
Thank you again, for the patience and work you do to help us keep our community safe!

Teacher Feature: Sra. Leffin!
My name is Samantha Leffin. I am 28 years old and I love adventure! I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, with an active family of six. We were always spending time outdoors, taking hikes, running races, snowboarding, playing soccer and anything else we could find to do outside. We were also very active with volunteering. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire with a degree in Elementary Education and Spanish Education. Afterward, I took advantage of every opportunity to try something new in a new place. This has led me to teach various grade levels and subjects in four different countries: Chile, Honduras, Ecuador, and Nigeria. I loved being a teacher! I am very excited to start my position as a 4th/5th grade Dual Lingual teacher at Eiber Elementary!
