2016 Spring Arts & Music Festival
Last week and this week Tamanend is celebrating the Arts! Last Wednesday evening the 7th and 8th Grade Chieftain Choruses, the Barbershop Quartets, the 8th Grade Band and the Jazz Band had an awesome performance. Last night, 7th Grade Band, 9th Grade Chorus, 9th Grade Band, Wind Ensemble, Gold'n'Blues, and Swing Ensemble had amazing performances. Tonight, our orchestra students will perform starting at 8 p.m.
During all concerts, guests had an opportunity to walk around and enjoy some the beautiful art work by students in Art and Tech classes.
The CB District Art Show opens at Mill Creek Elementary School on June 3rd and will remain open until June 5th.
What happens when you get a cappella groups from five middle schools together to adjucate on a Friday night? AcaTamaJAM! Thank you to our very own Mr. Ian Sanchez for organizing the District's first-ever opportunity for these talented groups to perform for each other and receive professional judge scoring feedback. Our own Chieftain Chorus as well as outside groups provided entertainment during the transitions between schools. The night was filled with incredible vocals, bass, percussion, and FUN! The impromptu dance out while scores were being tabulated was one of the many highlights. Congratulations to all participants and again, thank you, Mr. Sanchez!
Mark your calendars for the Youth in Harmony Festival planned for May 25th at 7 p.m. at Lenape Middle School. Tamanend will have two quartets competing! Go Tigers!
