November 16-25, 2020
Dear Parents and Families,
It’s that time of year that we share our gratefulness! Here are a few things I am thankful for this year…
T is for the Teachers who make a difference in our kids’ lives!
H is for the helping hands of our Paras, office, kitchen and custodial staff!
A is for the academics we teach, so our kids can learn new things!
N is for the neighborhood of MIDLAND, a wonderful community!
K is for our KIDS! They are the reason we do our work!
S is for sisters, brothers, moms, dads and relatives who make up our Midland family!
Our Midland staff would like to wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
With a grateful heart,

Social Emotional Learning Corner by Mrs. Blaisdell
This week’s focus is — Self-Compassion
This week we have learned about Self-Compassion.
1. Taking care of and showing love to YOURSELF. 💖
2. Being your own BEST FRIEND. 💕
3. Giving yourself a break, when you make a mistake. 😘
4. Focus on your own Health, Well-being, and Self-Care.
As a family— You can talk with each other about plans to practice self-compassion and care. Generate ideas about how you can show yourself love and care when you are having a rough day.
Take Care of Yourselves This Week 😊
I am thankful for each and every Midland student and family.

Picture Retake Day is Wednesday, 11/18
If you are getting retakes, be sure to return the original package when you come.
We want to have all of our Mustang's pictures in our yearbook, so we hope you will come to have your child's picture taken (if you haven't done so already), even if you don't plan to order pictures.
We have two ways for you to order pictures. You may order online at mylifetouch.com and use the Picture Day ID EVTFSBDZF OR you may come to the school before picture day to pick up a paper order envelope to bring back to the school on picture day with the correct amount of cash or a check enclosed.
Masks must be worn and all COVID safety precautions and social distancing requirements will be followed.
**Please note: Restrooms will not be open to the public during this time**
