Respiratory Illness Update from Alberta Health Services
Alberta Health Services (AHS) has launched an enhanced respiratory assessment tool to provide Albertans with guidance to manage a wide range of respiratory illnesses, provide advice on caring for symptoms at home and when to seek additional care. The tool will help guide schools and individuals to the best care options for symptoms, including self-care at home, or seeking care through a walk-in clinic, family physician, or pharmacy for mild to moderate symptoms. Those with severe symptoms will be recommended to seek care through an urgent care centre or emergency department. Other available resources, such as the HEAL website and know your options guidance, continue to provide support for care, whether that be in-home or elsewhere. As always, Health Link continues to be available for Albertans, 24/7, by calling 811.
All Albertans are strongly encouraged to get immunized against influenza and COVID-19. They can also wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask in public places if they choose to do so. Rapid test kits will continue to be available at participating pharmacies across the province.
Pay School Fees Online!
School fee information for the 2022-23 school year is now posted on the PowerSchool Parent Portal. All fees are due within 30 days of being posted. To access your fee information, simply log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal and go to “Student Fees.” There you can view your fees and pay them online.
Don’t forget to also log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal regularly throughout the year. Fees are often added to your child’s account to cover the cost of various school activities such as field trips, class projects, extracurricular activities fees and more.
If circumstances exist where you are unable to pay your fees, you can apply to have certain fees waived by submitting an Application for a Waiver of Fees. The application deadline is Dec. 15, 2022.
For more information about school fees, waivers and payment deadlines, visit www.eips.ca/schools/fees and https://www.rudolphhennig.ca/about/fees. Alternatively, contact Mrs. Margaret Tomkow at Rudolph Hennig at 780-998-2216.
