Elkton Elementary School Memo
April 26, 2021
A Note from Mrs. Palmer
Dear EES Families,
Today, Monday, April 26th is Spring picture day. Students will NOT receive a packet or order form before the picture is taken. Several weeks from now, the picture proof will come home in a package and you can pick what you want and order. HLA families will be able to pick up their picture proof in the foyer. We will notify you when they are in.
I continue to be proud of our students as they follow the safety mitigations put in place to keep them safe. They continue to wear their masks and maintain a 3 foot distance when walking in the hallways and sitting in their classroom. The pictures below show the seating organization within several classrooms.
We are recognizing students who demonstrated the Trustworthy Pillar of Character. Their names are listed below.
It was exciting to see how our students celebrated Earth Day. Students actively participated by pulling weeds, picking up trash, preparing gardens for planting, and planting bulbs. Discussions were held on recycling, reusing, and reducing. Several students read their Earth Day papers they had written during the morning announcements. Students wrote about the signs of spring and how they could help take care of the Earth.
Thanks to all our parents bringing and picking up their children. The arrival and dismissal schedule is working well. I appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
Enjoy the nice weather this week.
I wish you well...
