Everyone will receive their child’s 4th quarter progress report Monday via email. If you do not, please contact our office. We’re down to about 6 weeks left in the school year. Please continue to work and talk with your child about staying current on his/her schoolwork. We want them to finish the year at their best! Annie Jr. was a hit!!! PCMS & Barry students did a superb job in last weekends musical production. All their hard work definitely paid off!
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL SET FOR MAY 31, 2019
At the April Board of Education meeting, members voted to designate Fri, May 31, 2019 as our last day of school for the 2018-19 school year. In accordance with Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) regulations, the Board is able to waive our 9th inclement weather make up day, as we have an extra day built into our academic calendar.
Friday, May 31, 2019 will be our last day of school, and will be a 3-hour early dismissal.
MAP and EOC Assessment Schedule - Earbuds/Headphones Needed!
Below is a reminder of this year’s MAP & EOC assessment schedule. As always, we ask that you make every attempt to ensure your child is present during these testing dates and that he/she is prepared for testing. (Please Note: Students will need to have earbuds or headphones for testing.)
Parent IgNIGHT: Safeguarding our Children, Part II - May 1, 2019
Platte County School District's Parent IgNIGHT series of informative parent sessions is designed to include, inform, involve, and ignite parents. Our next session, Safeguarding our Children Part II: Drugs, Vaping, Alcohol, and Other Distractions, will focus on parent prevention efforts and supports available with regards to drugs, alcohol, and vaping on May 1, 6:30 pm at Platte City Middle School.
PCR3 will also host a summertime Parent IgNIGHT session on Resilience, July 23, 6:30 pm at PCHS's WIlson Auditorium.
Middle School Summer Football Information
If your student is currently a 7th grade student who is interested in playing 8th Grade Interscholastic Football next year, please see the attachment below for summer training information.
Pirates ROCK End-of-Year Celebration/Sharpen the Saw Challenge
This year's Pirates ROCK End-of-Year Celebration will take place at the Sharpen the Saw Challenge Course at Barry-Platte Park on Fri, May 3.
The course will be open from 5-7pm, with the character recognition ceremony at 6pm.
