EAS, SRS & Elite Performers Programs
Educational Access Scheme
For UAC applicants who've experienced long-term educational disadvantage as a result of circumstances beyond their control or choosing.
Categories of disadvantage considered:
- Disrupted Schooling
- Financial Hardship
- Home Environment
- English Language Difficulty
- Personal Illness / Disability
- Refugee Status
- School Environment
Eligibility: You may be eligible to apply for EAS if you educational performance has been seriously affected, due to circumstances beyond your control or choosing, normally for a period of at least six months, during Year 11 and / or Year 12.
Please Note:
- There are 25 different types of educational disadvantage that can be claimed
- You must meet eligibility requirements to submit an application for EAS
- You must provide further information in an applicant's statement
- You may be required to provide documentation to support your EAS application
Caringbah EAS Submission Process
If you are looking to submit an EAS Application to UAC.. we would like you to please follow the following process....
- Register your EAS Application through UAC
- Print your personalised EAS forms from the UAC website and collate the information UAC requires from you... excluding the documentation that needs to be provided by the school
- IF you require an EDUCATION IMPACT STATEMENT or any other documentation from the school, please PRINT this FORM (also attached) and submit to Ms Young by the 9th August 2019 with your additional documentation - including STUDENT IMPACT STATEMENT, MEDICAL IMPACT STATEMENT (if relevant) etc...
- Collect your completed Educational Impact Statement and Additional Documentation from Ms Young before your graduation (you will be contacted by Ms Young when your documentation is READY)
- Scan and Upload your COMPLETED documentation to the UAC Website
- SUBMIT!!!
Please ensure you keep an eye on dates and submit to Ms Young before the DUE DATE - 9th August 2019
Please note than an Educational Impact Statement is NOT required for Financial Disadvantage, where your family is receiving FAMILY TAX BENEFIT A... Instead, you will need to provide your family's CRN (Centrelink Reference Number) on your forms.

School Recommendation Scheme
School Recommendation Schemes (SRS) are one way institutions make early offers to current Australian Year 12 students who have applied for undergraduate admission through UAC.
SRS is used by institutions to make offers of undergraduate admission using criteria other than (or in addition to) ATARs. These criteria may include school recommendations, senior secondary studies and personal awards and achievements. Institutions have their own policies on determining SRS eligibility and making offers. These may include:
- Making early offers based solely on SRS criteria
- Makes offers based on both SRS and ATAR / section rank
- Making offers based on SRS criteria and ATAR and equity criteria
SRS Criteria
Participating institutions may take one or more of the following criteria into account when considering applicants for SRS offers:
- Your school's rating of your abilities in areas of study
- You school's rating your aptitudes
- Your Year 11 studies
- Your Awards
- Your Achievements
Who can apply
SRS is open to all Year 12 applicants who are attempting:
- An Australian Year 12 qualification in 20179
- UAC applicants for undergraduate admission 2019/2020
- An Australian or New Zealand citizen
- A permanent resident of Australia
Some universities will only accept SRS applications alongside an EAS application
Application Process:
- Complete an online SRS application
- Schools provide their assessment of student's ability via a separate online rating process
- Institutions consider applications
- SRS conditional and unconditional offers may be made later in the year

- SAE Creative Media Institute
- University of Canberra

- University of Newcastle
- University of Technology Sydney (only available for EAS applicants)
- University of Western Sydney
Key Dates:
- 30th September 2019 - Applications CLOSE
- 12th November - Applicants MUST have any courses they would like to be considered for an SRS offer included in their list of preferences
- 16th November - SRS unconditional and conditional offers are released
- 21st December - Conditional offers are converted to unconditional offers for applicants who meet institution criteria
- 12th January - SRS offers will also be made in this and subsequent rounds

- Service: Demonstrate willingness to perform voluntary work that benefits others.
- Sustained Participation: Demonstrate continued commitment to an activity over a substantial period of time.
- Work Skills and Career Development: Demonstrate skills that will be beneficial in future work opportunities and / or career path.

Equity Scholarships
Equity Scholarships assist financially disadvantaged students with costs associated with tertiary study. There are two types of Equity Scholarships available through UAC:
- Institution Equity Scholarships funded by individual institutions, donations or sponsorship.
- Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarships funded by the Australian Government.

Applicants can receive to 5 bonus points for their chosen University based upon their level of achievement.
You must apply directly to your chosen University.
