The Savage Life!

This past week Wynnewood graduate, Donnie Anderson, traveled home to inform our student body and staff of the dangers of fentanyl. Mr. Anderson is currently the director of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. Please be having conversations with your students about the dangers of this drug. This is a substance that people do not knowingly take, it's placed in other drugs and vapes. It is a very lethal drug, even in extremely small amounts. We can't tell kids too many times how dangerous this is.

Several members of the FFA spent Thursday at the elementary school sharing with the students the fun things about agriculture! Thank you, Mrs. Moore for always letting our students come and share with your littles!

Congratulations to our Girls Basketball Team and to the Wynnewood High School Band on receiving academic honors this past week! The band was awarded a Distinguished Academic Achievement Award. To win this recognition the entire musical department had to possess an overall GPA of 3.5 to 4.0. Our girls basketball team received their recognition for having an overall GPA of at 3.25 and ranking in the upper 1/3 of their classification. Congrats to both of these groups on helping WHS be honored!

Local photographer, Kyla Brinson, will be taking optional Senior Cap & Gown pictures for our Seniors at the football field Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. $10 per student for digitals, order forms will be available if packages are wanted!
