Care to Learn Donations will be Matched Before June 1
We have some exciting news to share!
Due to the generosity of an anonymous donor, all donations made to our Care to Learn Chapter before June 1, will be MATCHED (up to $10,000)!
We will use the funds to meet the immediate needs of Monett students in the areas of health, hunger, and hygiene.
With your donations, we have helped a little girl with severe dental pain receive treatment, given new shoes to a child wearing a size 1 in girls who needed a 7.5 in women's, were able to get new clothing for a boy who only had one pair of very small pajamas to wear as pants, and many others. These are just a few ways your donations have helped our Monett students this year.
We are in need of additional funds to continue this work. If you are able, please help students in our district receive TWICE the help ($1 for $1) with a monetary gift this semester. If you can donate even a small amount, it makes a huge difference in helping students in need.
All proceeds go directly to Monett students.
To make a gift, visit www.caretolearn.org/monett or mail a check to Monett Schools c/o Leslie Henry or Travis VanHorn at 601 Learning Lane Monett, MO 65708.
If you have any questions, please visit the website listed above or call 417-235-3411 ext. 3.

Monett Historical Sign Dedication
On Thursday, March 30th, 2023, the Monett High School Missouri Literature class will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Monett Pavilion on Front Street at 9:30 a.m. The ribbon cutting is for the introduction and presentation of 31 signs to the Monett community. In the fall of 2022, the class was given a grant via the Celia B. Godsil Grants in Place Fellows Program, underwritten and won by their teacher, Ms. Amy Sampson. With this grant, the class chose to use the $2000 to create 31 signs, each noting a historical item, event, or location of significance in Monett. The sites were selected by the 40+ students and fine-tuned with the help of Ms. Jeanne Camp. Each sign was then researched by the students, Ms. Camp, Mr. Murray Bishoff, Ms. Sampson, and Ms. Mandy Botlik. The City of Monett has installed the signs around town, and we would like to formally dedicate their opening to the community.
The signs are thanks to a grant won by Ms. Sampson from the Cecil B. Godsil Grants in Place Fellowship.
The signs were designed and created by D.B. Graphics and placed in town by the City of Monett Public Works.
Join Amy Sampson's Monett High School Missouri Lit and Comp class, Mandy Botlik, Murray Bishoff, and Jeanne Camp as they dedicate their signs to preserving history in Monett to our community.
