Spirit, Financial Aid, and Halloween News!

STUDENT INFORMATION - NEW

CREDIT CHECK TWO BEGINS THIS WEEK!

CC2 Starts Now: Make sure you complete your Plan Folder/Contract and the Calendar by Friday (that's the goal). Remember each teacher has to sign off on it! Also, start logging in your at-home reading and your activities every day - every credit counts towards graduation. Homeroom teachers will be helping you with your goals.

REMIND.COM - Good news! We are able to use remind.com again. This app is a great way to communicate by text. Signing up is easy. If you didn't sign up at the beginning of the year, or if you are not sure if you signed up, do it today.

Currently Mrs. Seacat , Mrs. Kelley, and Mrs. Luckino use remind.com, so you can sign up for all three. Each account has a separate code. Use your phone and send a text. Use 81010 for the phone number and then text the code(s) below. You need to do one at a time, but it's great if you do all three. Yes, you earn credit!

Mrs. Seacat's code: @jseac

Mrs. Kelley's code - @jkbrhs

Mrs. Luckino's code: @mrslbrhs

FIRST AND LAST 10 MINUTES: Remember that students are not allowed out of class without a call slip the first and last 10 minutes of each class. Also, for our new students, we only permit one student in the restroom at a time. We appreciate your patience as you wait your turn.

FLIP GRID & COLLAGE ASSIGNMENTS: Mrs. Kelley visited all homerooms last week. You have two credit opportunities: FlipGrid for the WASC Visiting Committee (you introduce yourself) and a personal collage. See Mrs. Kelley if you need help or have questions (plus your HR teachers are a great resource to help you).

HALLOWEEN THEME: Hey everyone, at BRHS, Mrs. Seacat chooses a school wide theme for Halloween. This year, we are being playing cards. Think black or dark pants and a white t-shirt. To make it easy for everyone to participate, we'll have stickers available so you can make your own playing card by sticking them on a t-shirt. You can also make your own playing card design using whatever materials you want. We hope for a lot of participation without spending a bunch of money on a costume. Google "playing card costumes" if you want to get some ideas. We will be celebrating this Spirit Day the Friday before Halloween.

Starting WEDNESDAY (10/6), YOGA in the AM: Mrs. Lee-Briggs will be offering Yoga in P-3 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning during Homeroom (starting Wednesday). If you are interested, check in and get permission from your HR teacher and then head out to P-3. You do not have to attend every session. You can earn PE credit. See Mrs. Lee-Briggs in P-4 if you have any questions.

SPIRIT DAY - This Friday (10/08) is Breast Cancer Awareness Day at BRHS. Wear pink!
