    Cost: $13.75 for students and $20.50 for adults which inlcludes the Pompeii exhibit.

    Purpose of Outing: Educational

    Students can record 180 minutes of Science for the OLS.


    Learning Objectives:


    1. Students will learn about archaelogy by examing the careful steps archaeologists used to preserve what remains from the ancient site of Pompeii. (we will tour the Pompeii exhibit recommended ages 4th-12th.)


    2. Students will learn about atronomy and science by engaging in the hands-ons models available at the museum.

    Sign in- 9:30am-10:00am

    Tour the Pompeii exhibit- 10:00am-10:40am

    Tour the museum- 10:40 am-12:00pm

    Lunch at facilty- 12:00pm-12:30pm ( bring brown bag lunch)

    Tour Facility-12:30pm-1:30pm

    Departures-1:30pm-1:45pm


    How to RSVP?


    If you would like to attend this event you must RSVP by emailing your FSC either lhair@pavcs.us (Linda Hair is covering Louri Fitzgerald while out on Maternity leave) or dgregory@pavcs.us by 2/13/14 and specify parent(s) names attending, student(s) attending, grade, teacher and any non-PAVCS student attending. In addition, all money is due to FSC Danielle Gregory by 2/13/14 and you can mail a money order only to: 117 Star Drive Eastampton, NJ 08060, please make payable to: Danielle Gregory.



    Reminders for PA Virtual Events!


    1: In consideration of our students with serious allergies, please refrain from bringing nut (food) products and balloons.


    2: As always, to limit the spread of possible flu, please do not attend a PAVCS event if you have had a fever within 24 hours of the event.


    3: For safety: All students need to be accompanied by a parent or learning coach. All students must wear shoes/sneakers for the entire school event and please refrain from bringing pets.


    4: If there is a possibility of severe weather, please check Blackboard the day of the event in case the event is cancelled due to weather.


    5: All PAVCS events are tobacco free
