Louisville Middle School
THE PIRATE POST 12-16-22
From Principal Meyer
Pirate Families,
We have had a busy week at LMS! Through the end of the semester, our students and teachers have kept an emphasis on learning and high quality teaching while also having students demonstrate their learning through summative and final assessments. All the while, they have been throwing in a little fun and celebrating our community.
Our kids have been displaying their talents to their fullest! Congratulations to our choirs, bands and orchestras who were on display this past month! Our students did a fantastic job sharing their music with friends and families. We had a great turnout for each concert and we were glad to share the evenings with our students as they performed extremely well at all three shows. Additionally, our 8th grade girls wrapped up their basketball season having a great season. They were undefeated and had a great team experience throughout the season!
We are stronger together and we may be going our separate ways over winter break, we will all be connected by a bond of reflection and remembrance of the past year and the journeys we have all been on since December 30th, 2021. I know many of you have been participating in the many community events related to the Marshall fire and I hope you are taking care of yourself and others. Take time as we enter the new year to refresh, take stock, and enjoy your time with family and friends.
Please have a fantastic fun and safe break, happy holidays, and a fantastic new year! Thank you for your support of our fantastic school. As always, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, concerns, thoughts, or ideas!
Chris Meyer,
Principal
