Hello Parents of Village Elementary School,
On behalf of the Counseling team, we would like to update everyone on an initiative called No Place For Hate. Our committee members have worked hard to brainstorm ideas on how we can implement a No Place For Hate environment within Village Elementary School and the community. We are excited to announce three activities we came up with for next year including creating banners all around the school, making videos, and having a school wide challenge! Similarly, the Anti Defamation League (ADL) is hosting a Concert Against Hate on December 6, 2020. To register the link is: https://events.adl.org/concert
In addition, this month is Universal Human Rights Month! Some ways celebrate this month are by finding similarities with those around us who may not have the same background as ourselves or listening to perspectives that are different from ourselves such as religion, culture, and beliefs. We are all born into the same world, let’s spread peace and love towards others as we celebrate our human rights!

YOU'VE BEEN STUNG!
As part of CSF’s Hive 365 campaign, bees will descend upon home fronts of different Coronado households. (You may have seen some around town already!) After making a donation to CSF, the family will decide who will be “stung” next, placing the bees and the hive in the new family’s yard, encouraging them to make a donation and continuing the lifecycle of fun.
The suggested donation per household is $365, however, donations of any amount are appreciated! All donations go to fund pathways in STEM and Arts at all 4 CUSD schools.
GET STUNG
If you would like to be the next Coronado family to "Get Stung", email csf@csfkids.org. If you are already a member of Hive 365 or are a CSF monthly recurring donor, we would love for you to participate with or without an additional donation. Just let us know!
