Troy High in top 10 public high schools

Troy High School was ranked #9 in 2018 Best Public High Schools in the Albany Area, according to education data website, Niche.

It's All In the Way You Say It: Communicating Effectively with Your School Team - October 17

Troy CSD and and the Parent Network of the Capital Region present the October 17 parent training, "It's All In the Way You Say It: Communicating Effectively with Your School Team." This workshop will highlight essential elements of effective communication that are critical for positive home/school relationships. Participants will learn simple, practical steps for working with their child's educational team to build effective communication and more effective IEPs. Troy CSD overhauls school lunches

This year, the Troy City School District welcomes Whitson’s School Nutrition as its food provider. The change comes with a lot more choices to keep kids full with the nutrition they need. Learn more.

Troy CSD unveils greenhouse

On September 28, Troy High School hosted an opening ceremony to unveil the all-new greenhouse built on campus. The greenhouse project will be used by Troy High School and Troy Middle School students and students participating in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute STEP. Learn more.

School 16 STEM Day

School 16 students will participate in a STEM Day each month. This month, students participated in coding using Chromebooks, coding with iPads to control a spherical robot named "Sphero," math competitions and fun with Oobleck to learn about solids and liquids. More photos here.

Troy High Football #1 in the state

Troy High School football (5-0) remains atop the New York State Sportswriters poll, No. 1 since the poll began four weeks ago. In addition, Joey Ward was named Times Union's Male Athlete of the Month.

District transitions to Google for calendar

New this year, the Troy City School District is utilizing Google for it's calendar. While a print version of the calendar will no longer be mailed home, families can print out the Google calendar if they so choose. Google allows the district to make changes to the calendar in real time and coincides with it's promise for technology integration. Print versions are also available at your child's school by request. Learn more.
