Happy Labor Day!
Hope you are having a great long weekend! We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at our normal time.
Online Grades
With the first two full weeks of school behind us, we have begun entering grades and compiling progress reports for your child(ren). These are available to view in real time, in advance of conferences at the quarter's end, by going to our school website and clicking on "Online Grades" in the menu bar. Each family will have their own username and password and will receive those in Communicators this week. Please let me know if you have any questions! Thank you.
Ordering School Uniforms
If you'd like to order more uniform attire, such as sweatshirts as the days gradually turn cooler, please call Creative Embroidery and order from them directly. Just ask for Northview uniforms and let them know the item and size. Cost will differ slightly as you will pay sales tax on the uniforms ordered after the first of the year.
We are still working on sweater options, but please see the link below for Field Trip Uniform T-shirts. These will be required to wear on field trips with jeans/jean shorts.

Iowa Assessments (Grades 3-8)
Dear Parents:
In the next few weeks, your child will be taking the Iowa Assessments®. Information about your child’s academic achievement is needed to help them excel and succeed. The Iowa Assessments make this possible by providing detailed information about your child in a variety of important content areas including Reading, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
The Iowa Assessments help determine how students are performing on the state curriculum as described in the Iowa Core.
-
The Iowa Assessments measure student growth and progress from year to year.
-
The Iowa Assessments help teachers identify a student’s strengths and identify areas that may need additional emphasis. The assessments produce information that enable sound decision making and provide a focus for teachers to evaluate their instruction.
-
The Iowa Assessments provide information about your child’s performance relative to the school, the state of Iowa, and the nation.
Using the results of the assessment, we encourage you to work together with your child’s teacher to identify and address educational needs. The results will help prepare your child for the next step on their educational path.
