Ms. Doggett's Class Newsletter
April
I hope everyone had an enjoyable Spring Break and was able to relax and spend time with family.
The Fourth Quarter is well on its way and we are very busy! With the end of the year in sight, it's important to remind students that behavior and work habits are more important than ever. We have several end of the year events coming up that could be taken away if a decline in behavior and work habits become an issue. We will be sending home a letter, to review with your child and sign/return, that will go over end of the year behaviors and expectations. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. We appreciate your continued support at home!
Have a wonderful week,
Ms. Doggett
Science
Students have had the chance to identify unicellular and multicellular organisms, as well as compare and contrast the two. We will also be learning about human body systems and the functions they carry out.
We've continued to watch a daily weather forecast and track the weather using a weather chart. I encourage watching the weather with your child and asking them what they're observing in class.
We will start our EOG review in the next couple of weeks. It's important that students bring their binders home 2-3 times a week to review science glossary terms.
Dancing Classrooms Event
Join us on Friday, April 15th, at 1:15 pm, for a 5th grade performance to showcase what they've learned. Please refer to the letter sent home, in last week's Tuesday packets, for more information.
We hope to see you there!
Field Trip
This is an extended day trip and students will need to make arrangements to be picked up at 5:00 pm.
Feel free to contact me with any comments or concerns regarding the trip.
