Move Along Day
Remote students and students new to Dunning will attend remotely. Teachers will send an email to remote families with a google meet link at 9:45 Monday morning.
Fifth Grade Fond Farewell
Fond Farewell is Dunning’s Fifth Grade Graduation. In previous years, families were invited into school to celebrate each child’s accomplishments with them. This year will be different because of COVID 19 restrictions.
Only students and staff members will be in attendance during Fond Farewell. The ceremony will be recorded so that families can watch it. The video link will be shared with families as soon as it is available that day.
Summer Reading Nights
We are so excited to celebrate summer learning with Dunning Pandas. Mark your calendar for our THREE virtual learning nights.
- Wednesday June 30th 6-7 pm; Celebrating People and Friendship
- Wednesday July 14th, 6-7 pm; Sports and the Olympics
- Wednesday August 18, 6-7 pm, Superhero Night
These nights will include some fun math and science activities and a read aloud. We will also end each night with a raffle for a gift card to buy new books.
Mask Guidance For Students, Staff & Parents Through June 22, 2021
There have been questions about whether students, staff, and parents/caregivers need to be masked for drop-off and dismissal of students to and from school. Through the remainder of the school year, students should be masked when leaving the school building to get into a car or board their bus and they MUST continue to wear masks at all times on the bus. Staff should continue to wear masks at arrival and dismissal. This is in alignment with our district risk mitigation strategies and is an opportunity to model mask wearing for our students who must wear masks throughout their bus rides to and from school. Parents should continue to wear masks at drop off and dismissal times, unless they remain in their vehicles.
We are almost at the end of the school year! Thank you for your cooperation with these mask wearing requirements in these last several weeks of school! Looking forward to a safe and healthy summer break!

Do You Have a Thermometer in Your Household?
Fever is a common symptom of COVID-19. The Framingham Public Schools encourage families to check their children’s temperature regularly. Through generous funding from the MetroWest Health Foundation, school nurses are able to provide new thermometers FREE to families. If you do not have a thermometer in your household, please email or call your school, or call or email the Call Center. We will send a thermometer home with your child. Student Pooled Testing - Online Consent Form
In an effort to increase the District's Consent Rate for Pooled Testing, we made the consent forms available online. We hope this makes it easier for you to complete and submit the forms for your family!
PROVIDE YOUR CONSENT TODAY (links to a trilingual Google Form)
Pooled testing allows our entire school community to benefit when we can identify asymptomatic students with COVID-19 early and prevent the spread of the virus through our classrooms and schools. Please strongly consider providing your consent so we can make informed decisions about keeping our community safe and healthy!
Framingham Public Schools has launched a trilingual COVID Call Center to help families with MyMedBot App and Pool Testing questions. You can reach the Call Center by email COVID@framingham.k12.ma.us or by calling (508) 782-6633. Call Center staff are available between 5:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.
For additional information, please review the Framingham Public Schools COVID-19 Testing for Students Overview English, Spanish, or Portuguese. You can also visit our website for more information: Pooled Testing at Framingham Public Schools.
MyMedBot
MyMedBot is your ticket to school! MyMedBot is used to screen all FPS staff and students daily for potential COVID symptoms. Students, families, and staff must answer a series of COVID-19 related questions and based on the answers, the app will show a red screen, meaning you are not permitted to enter the school or a green screen, meaning you may enter the school. MyMedBot invitation codes are unique for each user and are being rolled out by cohort to families with students who are returning to in-person instruction.
If you are scheduled to come back to school and you do not receive the message, you can contact the FPS COVID Call Center (see below).
Please remember to complete MyMedBot everyday that your child is scheduled to attend school in-person. We ask that you complete MyMedBot by 8:30 at the latest each morning.
COVID Call Center
Framingham Public Schools has launched a trilingual COVID Call Center to help families with the MyMedBot App questions. Families can reach the Call Center by email COVID@framingham.k12.ma.us or by calling (508) 782-6633. Call Center staff are available between 5:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Staff who have MyMedBot App questions should continue to reach out to the Help Desk.
DESE 2019 Dunning School & FPS District Accountability Report
"Every year, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) releases a report card for each school and district in the state. Just as a student's report card shows how they are doing in different classes, school and district report cards are designed to show parents and community members how a school or district is doing in different areas. Report cards highlight a school or district's strengths as well as any challenges that need to be addressed in order to make sure the needs of all students are being met.” DESE
To view our school’s report card overview and the complete report card, visit our school’s profile on the ESE’s School and District Profiles website at this Dunning Report Card Link.
