The Exciting Month of June 2019

Psychic Medium Ed

The month of June brings laughter, joy and excitement. A time where the energy integrates toward unity and compassion, a time of fertility. Approaching all of us in the month of June is subtle light energy from other planets reflected off the moon. This alone brings abundance and fruitful occasions as our emotions feel the planetary influences.

Take time to reflect this month as June also signifies the end of the first half of the year. Did we achieve all we wanted to? Spiritually, did we allow time to center and relax through the pressures, or did we react in a negative stressful way? It’s our choice to be stressed, as we do it to ourselves. June recalls and conjures the teacher within, the wolf who lays dormant. A time where all of us have a lesson spiritually, at work, or school or just proving yourself amongst family. Reach this month for what was too high for you before.

Down Time

Family time is extremely important and needed as a way to reconnect to yourself after consistently working or being away due to work. I like to think that family time is not a matter of convenience but rather a matter of priority.

Whether it’s at the dinner table, in church, or watching a movie together, families form strong bonds when they connect on a personal level. There was a time when parents would read to their children every day. It could be a beloved fairy tale, a favorite Bible story or a library book, but it helped build intimacy, comfort and trust. Mothers and fathers had an opportunity to build morals and principles for living. Intentionally spending time as a family is extremely important. How a family interacts will have great influence on the development of a child’s personality. This will also help your children feel secure in your love for them.

May was filled with plenty of activities especially regarding our son Jaiden. His class went on a field trip where they were given opportunities to fulfill different job roles. He was selected to take the role of a marketing manager. He had lots of questions prior to his journey and lots of things to talk about when he returned. He took a trip to his new middle school for next year to learn about the school and meet teachers, staff and administrators. He had state wide mandated testing along with end of the year class testing. As parents we had meetings with the school and his teachers and still had to fulfill and accomplish our daily duties whether it be at home or work. But the most important thing for us was the down time we managed to have a nightly dinner together, a bit of television and talking about our day, a weekend movie....Yes we went to see the Avengers. We took a ride to the mountains and placed flowers on my Mother-in-Law's grave in celebration of Mother's Day. While the ride was short it gave us time to remember, not only our Mother and Grandmother, but also the beauty this world has to offer as we drove through the mountains. We have realized that some of the greatest moments of each day can be simple. A car ride to school with our son, for example while not far, gives us time to talk and reflect as Father and Son. We only get one chance in this life. Our hope is that we are doing it right.

The Magic of Flowers

A flower is a manifestation of divine beauty and wisdom. While each flower’s vibration is unique, what it expresses is universal: its available to all of us and is already a part of us. Flower magic, then, might be defined as employing a flower as a focal point for our intention to affect a desired positive change.

The Honeysuckle

Symbol of happiness and devoted affection is the other birth flower for June.

The Rose

The June birth flower is the Rose. Its sweet fragrance and timeless beauty heralds the advent of summer like no other bloom. The meaning of the rose depends on its color, although this flower is generally known to signify love, beauty, honor, faith and devotion. The name “rose” is derived from the Latin word Rosa. During the height of Rome, roses were grown extensively in the Middle East and used as medicine, perfumes, and at celebrations as confetti.

June Horoscopes

Gemini is the third astrological sign in the Zodiac, originating from the constellation of Gemini. Under the tropical zodiac, the sun transits this sign between May 21 and June 21. The symbol of the twins is based on the Dioscuri, two mortals that were granted shared godhood after death. Gemini is the sign associated with communication, logical thought processes, (based on duality) and the conscious mind. Gemini people tend to be airy and intellectual, glib of tongue and curious about life and other people. They can experience two sides of things at the same time and may tend to be flighty.

Cancer is the fourth astrological sign in the Zodiac, originating from the constellation of Cancer. It spans from 90° to 120° celestial longitude. Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun transits this area between approximately June 21 and July 23, and under the sidereal zodiac, the Sun transits this area between approximately July 21 and August 9. The zodiac sign Cancer is symbolized by the crab, with its impenetrable outer shell and vulnerable underside. Just as the Crab claw grips, Cancer energy makes us cling to comforts—from job security to beloved family members and pets.

Happy Father's Day

Tarot of the Month

My three card tarot spread for the month of June will cover the first ten days, the second set of ten days and the last set of ten days in order. For the beginning of June we see the Four of Wands. Expect celebration, joy, harmony, relaxation, and homecoming. The Four of Wands is a card of joyful celebration, blissful happiness and appreciation for the good things in life. When this card appears, it is the perfect time to celebrate with those you love most. You may commemorate a significant event or milestone such as a wedding, birthday, homecoming or reunion. Or, you may invite a few of your favorite friends over for an intimate dinner for no particular reason except to revel in each other’s company. Relax and let your hair down – enjoy this special time together. In mid June we see the Ace of Swords. You can expect breakthroughs , new ideas, mental clarity, and success. This marks a wave of new energy from the intellectual realms. You may be on the verge of a significant breakthrough or a new way of thinking that allows you to view the world with clear eyes. Or, you may have a sudden realization or conscious understanding about an issue that has been troubling you and can finally see the path ahead of you. Meditate regularly to clear away the mental chatter and make the most of this intellectual potential. At the end of June, we see the Three of Pentacles. This brings us teamwork, collaboration, learning, and implementation. This card represents the value of different ideas and levels of experience in collaboration. The architects respect the specialised knowledge of the stonemason, and the stonemason appreciates the wisdom and experience of the architects. Even though their backgrounds, experience levels and expertise are very different, they can come together to share their insight in a way that creates synergy and improves the finished product. There is no “us and them” or any sense of superiority. Instead, each person has something to offer and is willing to learn from the others involved in the project. Everyone is getting the job done collectively and contributes to the group through active listening and sharing. As you work on projects with others, acknowledge the value that each person brings to the table. You will also learn from each member of the team when you see his or her unique contribution. In summary, June will be exciting as we transition from spring to summer, and we will experience much joy, newness of self and togetherness. Enjoy your new adventure and come the end of the month, I wish you Litha

Honoring Yourself

I recently saw a quote that said, “Everything seems to be exhausting me, no matter how much I sleep or how much coffee I drink, or how long I lie down, something inside me seems to have given up. My soul is tired.” When I saw that quote I probably read it 5 times. It resonated with me because I too am tired. What does tired mean to us as a human emotion? What purpose does being tired serve? Too often I exclaim to myself, “I have too much to do to be tired right now!”

During readings I can feel when the person across from me is energetically weighed down with tiredness and exhaustion. My question to them is always, “How do you rest?” I usually have to explain, not sleep, but rest. Do you know that feeling of waking up more tired than when you fell asleep? That’s what I mean. That’s the difference between sleep and rest.

Emotions are energy in motion. Tiredness energetically tells us we are doing too much without creating a moment of rest for ourselves. Resting is always easier said than done, amirite? So I have something for you to try. Amidst your busy ‘go here, do that, get this done’ life, every time you turn your car off, and before you get out of your car, take 5 deep breaths.

Thats it. Take that small but meaningful moment of rest for yourself.

Try it, and let us know your experience! We’d also love to know how you rest

Spiritual Practices

A ritual to attune yourself to the earth, air, fire and water: Gather an object, crystal, or herb to represent each element, such a patchouli for earth, incense for air, a candle for fire, and a sea shell for water. Grab a chair and find a quiet place either inside or outside where you will not be disturbed. Place the chair in the direction of your choice and hold the symbol that you chose to represent that direction in your hand. Take a few deep breaths and meditate in each direction. Ask the element to be one with you as you hold the symbol. Move your chair clockwise until you have faced each direction. Write down any visions or emotions that you see feel or hear. Allow yourself enough time in each direction. When you are done thank the elements and formally dismiss them with love and gratitude for what they showed you. Review what you wrote down and how each element made you feel .

11 Minute Meditation Exercises to Conquer Stress

Exercise #1.

Come into a comfortable seated posture. Put your left palm on the center of your chest. Cup your right hand with the palm facing up and bend your right elbow so that your right hand moves past your right ear as if throwing water over your right shoulder. Keep the right arm moving back and forth in this way making sure the wrist passes the ear, for exactly eleven minutes. Set a timer to ensure the timing is exact. Then end by inhaling deeply and suspending the breath in, for as long as is comfortable for you, while pressing and holding the right arm as far back as possible. Then exhale and repeat this two more times for a total of three deep breaths with suspension.

This exercise will eliminate stress and clean your liver leaving you feeling relaxed and mellow.

Exercise #2.

From a comfortable seated posture. bend your elbows pressing them gently into your rib cage with your palms face up. From this position, begin rapidly flicking your middle finger from the first joint while chanting “Har” in a monotone (rhymes with “jar" and has a slight roll as the tip of the tongue touches the roof of the mouth). One “Har” chanted per each flick of the fingers. Your eyes should be focused, looking at the tip of the nose. Do this for eleven minutes and end by inhaling deeply, holding the breath, and then slowly exhaling while continuing the flicking motion 3 times.

This exercise will stimulate and heal your glandular system and bring all of your chakras into balance.

Exercise #3.

From a comfortable seated posture, extend your arms out straight to both sides and keep them straight (do not bend the elbows). Palms will be facing down. Look at the tip of the nose and begin to criss cross them in front of you, alternating over and under in a horizontal motion while continuously chanting “Har” as explained in exercise #2, above. Consciously coordinate the tip of the tongue to touch the upper pallet each time the arms cross in front of you. Continue for eleven minutes and then end by inhaling deeply and suspending the breath in while you continue the arm motion, then exhaling a total of three times.

This exercise works on your sympathetic, parasympathetic, and central nervous systems. It aids your ability to do, gets rid of “junk", and eliminates “madness".
