Reflections from Elder's Desk
Indeed, this past week was a busy, fun-filled week with many activities. Last Monday, teachers participated in conversations on meeting the behavioral and academic needs of gifted and talented students. Our math and science teachers met with a few TAMU professors and reflected on how our students fared in various math and science classes. Moreover, our teachers discussed the soft skills our students need to meet the demands of the future. Clearly, our students are well-prepared academically but we must be intentional in addressing those people skills to help our students become world-class.
Our students, staff, and teachers participated wholeheartedly in the various Homecoming activities sponsored by Student Council. The Student Council sponsors and students did a phenomenal job organizing the carnival and preparing for over 1000 students at the dance. The money raised from the carnival will be donated to provide support to Operation Tiger Give. Thank you for a job well done!
Continue to be a difference maker in everything you undertake. We are Driven by Purpose at AMCHS.
