Claires Court Bulletin
FROM THE HEAD'S DESK
Pictured here are our U11 Rugby Squad that played in the St Bernards Tournament. They played superbly and were fantastic ambassadors for our school. By all accounts it was their tackling which was the most impressive feature of their game, and it would appear we would be getting a reputation as a school for being very hard to score against.
I was lucky enough to spend Wednesday and Thursday in Dorset with our Y6 boys and girls who were studying beaches and rivers as well as participating in some daring activities! This culminated in a superb exhibition laid on for our Y6 parents by our pupils in our mezzanine today. It was a clear example of outdoor learning at its best and I am happy to report that pupils and teachers survived the week!
We have also had some wonderful art results from the ISA National Art Competition which featured in last week's Bulletin. The breadth of creative activity that our boys have the opportunity to take part in is amazing and I must commend all of our talented artists who spent time and energy to create their masterpieces. Some of the pieces are available to view in our entrance hall - do take a look!
I was delighted to hear that our Reception boys had a fantastic Halloween party with the girls on Thursday, my only disappointment was that I didn't get back in time from Dorset to join in with the singing, dancing and cake eating! Maybe next year!
On reflection it has been an unbelievably busy first half of term and with Christmas just around the corner I am sure things won't let up. Both myself and Mr Butterfield have spent this week ordering over one hundred new bag lockers for our KS2 pupils which should hopefully alleviate some of the problems the boys have experienced when getting changed. Lets hope they come in soon! I hope you are all able to enjoy a rest over the next two weeks. From my perspective your sons have worked extremely hard and deserve a well earned break.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a lovely half term holiday and thank you for your continued support of our school and its community.
