Seed Camp 2020
For years, Seed Camp has been a partnership between Alabama CBF and our supporting congregations. Most summers, volunteers from across our state staff a 4 day free day camp for 100 children on the campus of Judson College. Due to Covid-19, we had to reimagine how Seed Camp might still take place and thanks to the hard work of our CBF partner congregations, their ministers and members, we are excited about Seed Camp "in a bag."
On Monday, July 27th a team from Baptist Church of the Covenant returned to Marion with a second bag full of activities. These bags contained engineering projects, arts and crafts, and Bible study.
We are thankful to all of our CBF partner congregations and individual supporters. Your financial contributions have made it possible to supply and deliver these bags! If you wish to make a donation towards "Seed Camp at Home," you can mail a check with "seed camp" in the memo line or follow this link to give online: Seed Camp 2020.
Please pray for the children of Perry County and staff of Sowing Seeds of Hope as they minister in their community.
Congratulations to our 2020 Fisher and Caroline Humphreys Ministerial Scholars
Congratulations to our 2020 Fisher and Caroline Humphreys Ministerial Scholars. These amazing people are current and future congregational ministers, directors of non-profit organizations, and future theologians. We are proud that they are connected to our Alabama CBF family.
Our ministerial scholarships are named after our dear friends, Fisher and Caroline Humphreys. They have shaped generations of ministers, teachers, laity and missionaries to serve the Lord with love for the church, theological depth and personal integrity.
Sadly, this year, the Humphreys daughter, Stephanie Hoffman, died from complications following a medical procedure. We offer our sincerest condolences to Fisher and Caroline and all of their family. Many people gave to the Fisher and Caroline Humphreys Scholarship Fund in memory of Stephanie and in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Humphreys. We are grateful for the many people who contributed to this scholarship fund.

Thanksgiving and Celebration
Thanksgiving
Alabama CBF is thankful for Dr. James Moebes. He lived an extraordinary life of ministry and missions and was a friend to Alabama CBF. We offer our sympathies to Mountain Brook Baptist Church and to his family.
Celebrations
We are delighted to celebrate with Dr. Michael Bowe, a former Fisher and Caroline Humphreys Ministerial Scholar, on the publication of his book--Getting Out: A Restorative Approach to Prison Ministry. Congratulations Michael!
