Parents/guardians,
We understand that the Non-Traditional Instructional (NTI) days are new and different. New and different can be exciting, but it can also lead to frustration and/or worry. Your students may experience feelings of sadness over missing their friends and teachers. They may experience worry about getting their school work completed or having a new routine and schedule. If your child experiences any of these feelings it is important to let them express themselves without judgment. Let them know that their feelings are normal and ok. Sometimes just listening is the best thing we can do. Attached is a one sheet guide on handling worry. You can gently remind the kids to use some of the strategies that we have learned at school that are outlined in this handout.Google Hangouts Expectations
Digital Citizenship is much like our MUSTANG PRIDE we practice in the classrooms and hallways of our school. The Google Classroom and Google Hangout is an extension of our classroom. WE must be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe online. Watch the video below to hear our expectations! If a student is choosing not to be respectful, responsible and safe online during a Google Hangout and is becoming a barrier to the learning of others, he/she may be removed from the chat and then contacted by the teacher as a follow up to discuss. This is an instructional day, and we are expecting all of our students to show integrity.
District Food Delivery
Families will no longer be able to pick up food at their schools beginning Wednesday 3/18/20. Families will still need to call ahead to help us know how many meals to prepare for each location. Our buses will be delivering food to the locations and times are listed on the links below. Phone numbers to call and reserve a meal are also available via the links.
Please remember, ALL students that come to a location will be served a meal. This is not for just students that are on free and reduced lunch programs. A child can be served at any location in the district.

7 Hills Church: GO PACK to help students and families during COVID-19
Our heart is to serve the community in any way that we can so we have created “GO PACKS” to help relieve some of the pressure that families are feeling at this time. Below you will find some of the contents of these GO PACKs:
· 2 packets of oatmeal
· Microwavable mac & cheese
· Applesauce Cup
· 2 packs of Raman
· Packet of fruit snacks
· Packet of Goldfish
· Pop-top chicken noodle soup
· 2 Granola bar
· Toilet Paper
· Misc. Hygiene/Cleaning supplies
We have made sure that our facility where these bags were packed was cleaned and disinfected. All volunteers involved in packing these wore gloves and were not COVID-19 symptomatic in any way at the time of packing.
Parents can pick up a GO PACK this Thursday and Friday (March 19th and 20th)
Where: 7 Hills Church (6800 Hazel Ct. Florence, KY 41042). Follow the signs to the RED tent on campus. Families will pick up their GO PACK at the red tent
When: Thursday and Friday (March 19th and 20th) from 12-6pm
*For us to best serve our community we are asking that families only request 1 box per family member in their household.
* Next week, drive thru pick up times for GO PACKS might be different. We will send details once we know when those days/times will be.
It will be a drive-thru experience so parents will not need to get out of their car. Our volunteers will walk the packs out to their car with gloves on and will maintain appropriate distance. We appreciate everything you are doing to serve families during this time. Stay safe and well!
Best,
The 7 Hills Church Outreach Team

A Message from Nurse Aimee
I hope everyone is staying healthy and washing their hands. If I can help you in anyway or if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me at aimee.lind@boone.kyschools.us.
Here are some links with some good information. The youtube video is a good one and answers a lot of questions that our kids might be asking. Try staying off social media, it is overwhelming and not always the most up to date and accurate information.

Because Of Winn-Dixie books for third grade can also be picked up in the front lobby.
