Fall Interim Assessment Data Presented

Mrs. Yaa Appiah-McNulty, the Coordinator of Accountability, Assessment, and Data Management, presented testing results from the NWEA assessments. Students took these exams in September. The data is used to provide teachers and administrators with insight on students' strengths an opportunities for improvement.


Ms. Traci Lightfoot, the Executive Director of Elementary School Performance, and Mrs. Amy Jordan, the Executive Director of Secondary School Performance, shared with the Board of Education how they are supporting schools to drive achievement.

2023-2024 School Calendar

Mr. Jacob Smith, the Executive Director of Human Resources, presented information on calendar options for the 2023-2024 school year. School districts all across the state have the option to choose between four options.

Annual Report to the Public

Annual Report to the Public

Mr. Dustin Barnes, the Communications Coordinator, presented the Annual Report to the Public. The Arkansas Department of Education requires districts to provide an annual report to the public. The annual report to the public shall be posted on the district website under State-Required Information no later than 10 days after the public meeting is held.

Career Academies at NLRHS, COE

Ms. Elizabeth Wells, the Career Academy Coach, provided the Board of Education with the look at the career academies proposed for North Little Rock High School and the Center of Excellence. This is in partnership with the local chambers and the Ford NGL initiative that is being implemented across all high schools in Pulaski County.

Board Cancels June 1 Workshop

Board Cancels June 1 Workshop

Since the 2023 graduation falls on the day of a scheduled Board Workshop, the Board of Education voted to cancel the meeting.


Graduation will take place on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the Jack Stephens Center, located on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The time will be communicated at a later date.

The North Little Rock Board of Education will meet on Thursday, November 3, 2022. All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and are held in the Boardroom in the Administration Building, located at 2400 Willow Street.
