California Schools Parent Survey – Closes March 25th

CalSCHOOLS is one of the most essential pieces of data we use to assess our progress as a school in terms of school culture, safety, school connectedness, promotion of parental involvement, etc. Students take the California Healthy Kids Survey and parents take the California School Parent Survey. Traditionally, we have an extremely low participation rate from parents and we’d like to change that this year. We'd like to ask you to complete this online survey to learn more about your opinions of Correia Middle School. This Link: CA Schools Parent Survey Info explains the survey and, at the bottom of the page, provides your parent-survey URL and access instructions. Students have a different link and will be taking the survey in class next week. The information you provide will help guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, and improve student achievement.

Safety Net Presentation for Parents March 22nd - 6:00-7:00

Hello Dana and Correia Families,
We are offering an informational parent presentation regarding Internet safety. The Internet is an amazing place where kids spend a lot of time socializing and exploring. Unfortunately, there are risks involved when having access to so many digital platforms and cyber communities. It's really important for parents to stay informed about child cyber safety. The San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (SD-ICAC) and the San Diego Police Foundation are providing tools to help families manage their online lives. Learn about cyberbullying, social networking, gaming, sexting, and online predators. Parents and guardians are invited to attend this important community event on March 22, 2022 from 6:00-7:00PM. The presentation will be on Zoom and the link will be sent out closer to the date. Thank you.

Morning student drop off parent situations

There have been numerous community complaints about the disregard of traffic control and safety...stop signs, parking in red zones, illegal u-turns, etc. Some of the incidents have escalated into adult/parent altercations. Please ensure the safety of our students by following all traffic laws and please be safe.

Please ensure your student exits your vehicle on the right and uses the sidewalk to cross at the crosswalk...not in the middle of the street. Please do not stop in the red zone in front of the school or in the middle of the street. Please no u-turns in the cross-section!

Thank you!
