A Note From Mr. Burras
Parents, Family, and Community,
What a wonderful time of the year! And a little blessing of some snow right before break!.
Much of our work in grades K-3 this year has revolved around updating the way we teach reading. We have invested in a lot of new curriculum, and many, many hours of new training. I have great news – our 3rd graders scored 16% higher than the state average in the first round of third grade state testing. The hard work is paying off!
Here at Bellville we also have a newly established Building Leadership Team (BLT). This allows teachers and staff to take on leadership responsibilities in shaping the vision of our school. The BLT is working hard to update our Safety Plans and to revamp our PBIS procedures. PBIS is a system that allows us to teach positive behavior and expectations.
As part of that work, we would like your assistance. Would you please consider filling out this short survey?
We are very much looking forward to the upcoming Jazz Band and Artisans concert and our Holiday Sing-Along send off at the end of this week.
As I remind the students every morning, it’s a great day to be a Colt!
