Community Meetings
RA of the Month Nominations:
- Macey Thornburg: Macey was nominated by the HRs in Shorney for her ability to balance her roles as an RA, athlete, and student. Macey has been able to handle a rowdy crowd in Shorney and she does so by building relationships and holding individuals accountable for their actions.
- Drew Lytle: Drew was nominated by his HR, Morgan for his ability to build strong relationships with all members in his community. Drew is always working to get to know his residents and help them transition to Denison.
- Amber Garcia: Amber has worked tirelessly to address roommate conflicts and quiet hour violations. In doing so, she made her boundaries clear and was able to be unbiased in her relationships with her peers. She has asked for help when needed and therefore has efficiently addressed conflicts and helped students adjust to their first year on the Hill.
Great work to you all...who will win the RA of the Month for our department? Stay tuned for a message from the Recognition Committee!
Health and Safety Checks
Health and Safety Checks will take place from October 6th-October 10th. All residence halls will be doing health and safety checks at this time.
Please note the following:
- We will have keys available for you in the Service Center. You must pick the key up from Denise between 8am and 4pm.
- You can do Health and Safety Checks anytime between 9am-9pm (you can keep the key overnight and return to Denise in the morning)
- You must do the checks in groups of 2 (Head Residents will assign you days and teams)
- Health and Safety Checks should be quick. You are not digging through items in the room, you are simply scanning the space and reporting any concerns.
- Fliers with information about the Health and Safety Checks will be available for you to pick up as the date approaches
- A campus wide email will go out informing residents of this process.
