John F Kennedy was in a boat called a PT (patrol torpedo) they were bombed by a Japanese bomber plane, he was one of the eleven that lived there were thirteen all together two died, four were injured he swam with one man that was wounded on his back they swam too a island nearby.

Cuban Missile Crisis: October 22 1962

On October, 22, 1962. John F Kennedy announced to the USA because he heard the Soviet Union, Russia had been sending nuclear Missiles to Cuba the Soviet Union was sending them by boat so, using help from the US Navy he blocked Russia from send missiles.

Vietnam War 1955-1975

During his years as president, Kennedy tripled the amount of American economic and military aid to the South Vietnamese and increased the number of U.S. military advisors in Indochina. He refused to withdraw from the escalating conflict in Vietnam because, he said, "to withdraw from that effort would mean a collapse not only of South Vietnam, but Southeast Asia. So we are going to stay there. Kennedy said "My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". Vietnam was a problem that took up most of his time in office,It was a civil war between south Vietnam with anti-communist which the USA supported, and north Vietnam with communist forces. President Dwight Eisenhower had offered Military aid to south Vietnam and funding, and advisors were sent throughout the 1950's
