Excellent Rating on State Report Card

On Tuesday last week I sent out an email with the details and information about our school's report card. Our overall score of 72 and Excellent rating put us at the top spot of all elementary schools in Anderson Five!

Since that time, I've received more information about how North Pointe ranks statewide.

  • There are 670 elementary schools in South Carolina.

  • Of the 670, only 124 scored Excellent on their report cards.

  • We rank 20th out of the 670 schools in the state.

  • This places us in the TOP 3% of elementary schools in South Carolina.

  • Schools are categorized by their poverty index. Schools who are ‘similar’ to us are either 5 points above or below our poverty index.

  • There are 47 “Similar Schools” to North Pointe.

  • We rank 4th out of the 47 Similar Schools in SC.

Congratulations to our staff and students on setting the bar HIGH!

Our PE teachers, Mrs. McGregor and Mrs. Hammett, are beginning a unit called Cannercize. They are collecting canned goods to be used for the activity. The canned goods will be donated to Anderson Interfaith Ministries after the activity in PE.

We appreciate your help sending in canned goods all week this coming week!

From our PTO Fundraising Chair, Marie Marchant

The PTO board is hard at work planning our Fall Festival!! We are currently in the process of asking for (and collecting) donations for our silent auction and supplies for the actual event.

If you are available to assist with soliciting donations or if you own a local business (or know someone who does) and are interested in making a donation please contact Marie Marchant at

We can't wait to have fun with our North Pointe family on October 25th!!

Please complete this parent survey!

In an effort to continually assess our school programs, we would like your feedback on how the BUZZ meetings went this year. This survey is for all parents, even if you did not attend, so we can plan for next year.

Click here to take the survey. Thank you!

United Way Student Campaign

Wednesday is the last day to collect money for United Way! Students have been asked to bring in $1 per 1 strip of duct tape... to tape Mrs. Gilreath and Mr. Rash to the wall!

The grade-level which turns in the most money will receive a 1 hour recess with treats!

Thank you for giving back to our community!

Thank you to Chris and Teresa Kinert for taking on the very dead planters at the front of the school and replacing them with these beauties! We appreciate your time and effort in making our school even more beautiful!

Box Tops for Education!

BoxTops for Education are making some big changes this year and we are excited to be a part of it! Instead of clipping box tops and mailing them in, you will now be able to simply download the BoxTops app on your smart phone and scan your receipt every time you shop.

Our school will then receive credit for the BoxTop items that you purchased! So easy!

So please visit your app store and download this app as soon as possible!

In the meantime, we are STILL collecting the BoxTops that you have cut. Most products are still carrying the BoxTops that you clip and we are still happy to take them! So, you will be seeing a BoxTops sheet come home in the next couple of weeks and please send in your BoxTops as usual!

Thank you for your support in helping raise money for our AWESOME school!
