Mrs. Benoit - River Place Elementary - 3rd grade

Important Information

The diorama for the Animal Research book report is due Monday, April 14th. Disregard the April 11th due date that the instructions on the website says. I decided to extend the due date for our class. Your child has seen an example in class.

The following link has the STAAR powerpoint slide the 3rd grade teachers went over a few week ago. You will also find some helpful information on how to prepare/practice.

· We are doing a Math Fact Challenge in 3rd grade! Your child’s math teacher will explain the expectations so that their name can be on the big chart paper in the hallway saying they have them mastered! Please be working nightly on them to ensure mastery!

Thursday is our Library/Book Exchange day. Please make sure your child is bringing their library books to school on this day.

· Spring is Here! Please be sure to check the lost and found for any missing clothing items.

LUNCH CHANGES: Starting Monday, April 7th, once a child has a balance of more than $10, he or she will be given an alternative meal. Anne does a wonderful job of communicating with families, and we would ask for your help to include this information in your newsletters. Please ask families to check their child’s lunch account to determine a need to deposit funds. As always, if you think there is a mistake or special circumstances, please contact the cafeteria staff!
