Rurally surrounded, West Virginia University of Morgantown is the school of the bright colors of yellow and blue. The environment adds to the spirit of "mountaineers" as the state was founded by pioneers constantly expanding westward.

Student Life and Transportation

There are several art museums and 2 total art galleries as well as 5 experimental agricultural facilities located on campus. Cars are not allowed on campus and pets are also prohibited. A total of 85% of first-year students live on campus.


WVU is most commonly known for its football, but the university also includes division swimming, baseball, basketball, soccer, gymnastics, golf, cross-country, rowing, and rifle.

Interesting Fact

WVU was rated the 4th top party school in 2015 as Syracuse, Iowa, and California Santa-Barbra make the top three. The sororities and frat clubs make WVU one of the most eventful and top party schools of the United States.
