Band Registration Night
To keep everything moving smoothly, the schedule for Registration Night is arranged by grade (2023-2024 grade level). If at all possible, please attend during your scheduled time. However, if you are unable during the designated time, please attend at a time that fits your schedule. This is a drop-in registration process and generally only takes a few minutes to complete. It will be helpful to have all registration paperwork completed before arriving to register.
Freshman: 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM
Sophomore: 6:45 PM – 7:30 PM
Junior: 7:30 PM – 8:15 PM
Senior: 8:15 PM – 9:00 PM

Dear Incoming Winter Park Band families,
Welcome again to the Winter Park Band program! We are so glad to have you as part of our community.
Some important information about our upcoming events can be found in this email. Those events include:
- Band Registration Night: THIS Tuesday, May 9, 6 - 9 PM
- Mini Camp: THIS Saturday, May 13, 12 - 7 PM
The Band Boosters are welcoming all new parents to join us for an Insider Tour starting at noon (12pm) Saturday May 13th, after dropping off your student for Marching practice. We will provide snacks and insider information to help you navigate both Band and WPHS! Meet us in the inside hallway just outside band room.
- Band Camp: July 17 - 20 & July 24 - 28, 8 AM - 5 PM each day

WP BAND REGISTRATION 2023-2024
Registration Step 1
- Complete the 2023-2024 Band Registration Google Form
Registration Step 2
- Make the $25 Registration Payment on either the below SchoolPay.com link or by check made out to WPHS Bands.
- Make the $80 Band Camp Meals (optional) payment on the below SchoolPay.com link or by check made out to WPHS Bands.

- If you are an incoming 9th grade family, be sure you are not logged in to your student's current SchoolPay account when making online payments. The "data flip" at the county level placing your student at WPHS will not happen until early August, and logging in will take you to their current middle school SchoolPay page.
Registration Step 3
- Complete the forms in the following 2023-2024 Band Registration Forms packet that applies to your student's main instrument and return the completed and signed forms at Band Registration Night on Tuesday, May 9.
- Woodwind/Brass/Percussion Registration Packet
- Color Guard/Winter Guard Registration Packet
Before Band Camp
- All Band students must have an up to date Physical and a valid ECG on file with the school and must be cleared to participate before Band Camp on July 17.
- Incoming students will need a physical and ECG dated after April 1, 2023. The physical will be good for Band, ROTC, and any sport you play your freshman year, and the ECG will be good for all four years of high school.

Mini Camp - Saturday, May 13
Our official kick-off of the 2023 SOTW Marching Band is on THIS Saturday, May 13 from 12 - 7 PM! At Mini Camp, we will take our first steps as a band and play through all the music for our 2023 show. It's going to be a fun day!
- A water cooler/jug with your name clearly printed on the outside in permanent marker.
- Comfortable athletic shoes and socks. Sandals/Flip-flops/Slip-ons are not allowed during a marching band rehearsal. You must also have shoes on your feet at all times when outside.
- Sunscreen.
- A brimmed hat and sunglasses. This will provide extra protection from the sun, and sunglasses will allow you to see the drum majors and where you’re going while you march.
- Light colored clothing. We will be outside for about an hour and a half at Mini Camp. Avoid dark colors when rehearsing outside in the sun!
- Your instrument. If you need to rent a large instrument from the school, it will be checked out to you at Mini Camp.
