What's Happening...

The BioBuilder club participated in a video chat on Thursday night with a team from Indonesia. The Indonesian BioBuilder club was unable to access necessary lab materials and our club came up with a creative solution! On Wednesday, teachers from across the district took part in various professional development opportunities. It was a great opportunity and time for teachers to come together to share ideas as we continue to grow as a district. Friday, a group of seniors are visiting Keene State University as part of our college tour program organized by Student Services.

The fall season is winding down as field hockey and boys soccer both came up short in the quarterfinal round of the MIAA Central Mass tournament. Congratulations on all you achieved and how you represented THS this season. Football is in action Friday night against Uxbridge in an opening round tournament game. Cross Country will be competing in the Central Mass Championship on Saturday. Good luck to both teams.

As always for the latest news and updates follow us on social media.

Have a great weekend! #tpsprepares

School Counseling

Early action and early decision college deadlines are quickly approaching. Seniors should schedule an appointment to meet with their school counselors to discuss their future plans if they have not already done so.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application is now available to complete. This application can be found at fafsa.gov. The FAFSA is the most important application in the financial aid process. All colleges and universities will require the FAFSA before determining a financial aid award. Colleges may also require students to complete a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (profileonline.collegeboard.org) and/or a college specific financial aid application. It is important to be aware of each college's financial aid deadlines - missing deadlines could result in missing out on financial aid. For more information on the financial aid process please visit mefa.org.

FAFSA Day Massachusetts is a non-profit, volunteer driven program providing free assistance to students and families seeking to complete the FAFSA. These events will be taking place in high schools, colleges, and libraries across the Commonwealth and will provide one-on-one, step-by-step assistance for families completing the FAFSA. Please visit FAFSADay.org or email fafsaday@gmail.com for more information.
