Leadership
March MAV-ness
Hello Parents/Guardians,
My Name is Jaycie Edwards, and this year Mountain View is trying to start up a new tradition called March MAV-ness. March MAV-ness is a type of “wish miss” in March where the students at Mountain View wish for one thing, and then us as a leadership committee try and grant as many wishes as possible. The purpose of March MAV-ness is to build a strong community within Mountain View by paying it forward. One of our hopes is to lift student’s spirits and bring a sense of belonging as the school year finishes out.
We are fundraising and asking for sponsors from different businesses to try and make these wishes come true! If you would like to help get this tradition going by donating. It would be much appreciated! If you are interested in donating there are specific items that have been wished for, or money donations are also acceptable and greatly appreciated.
If you would like to be apart of granting these wishes for March MAV-ness feel free to contact me at
I am excited to see this project come together!
Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for the support! Go MAVS!
Q3 Advisory Schedule

Attendance/Permit to Leave
A number of parents are attempting to call or text their students directly and instructing the student check out of class. At the beginning of the school year we outlined roles and expectations in our MVHS 2022-2023 Back to Class Plan.
Students are expected to be engaged in their learning and in doing so, phones, smart watches, and earbuds should be in the phone vaults, not on their person. If you need your student to leave campus, please plan ahead and call the attendance office to check your student out.
We've updated our Attendance Page with Policies and Procedures (MVHS webpage/Menu/Parents&Students/Attendance).
Please give one hour notice prior to dismissal of your student.
The WHY'S:
- P.E. students are difficult to locate.
- In an effort to minimize disruption to academic time, we do not interrupt class with phone calls, so passes are the approved method.
- Student aids run passes to leave at the beginning of each class period.
- We have no aids to run passes to leave during Advisory.
