High 5 Behavior
We have been reviewing our classroom expectations since returning from break. With the unpredictable weather it has been very hard for the kids to get back into the “normal” school routine and remembering appropriate classroom behavior. Please help me to remind your child as they leave for school to stay focused when they are here. Thank you for your help and support in this! Spring is just around the corner!

Coming up next week....
Reading -We will be continuing to talk about main idea and supporting details. We will be reading passages and working on answering in complete sentences.
Spelling - New spelling words will be sent home on Tuesday. Our spelling test will be Friday, January 30.
Sight Words- before, two, walk, or, eat
Writing - We are going to continue to work on our narrative pieces from before break. We are creating our own characters and their problem. As always, we will also be focusing on having a complete sentence that starts with a capital letter, ends with the correct punctuation, and makes sense.
Math - We will continue working on those addition and subtraction skills, this time focusing on facts up to 20. It is still very important to be practicing those math facts at home.
Science - We will continue our first science topic about matter by exploring solids, liquds and gases.
