TMS Weekly Update 2019-2020

September 6th, 2019

Big picture

Do you remember.... September

Arguably one of the most beautiful months of the year and mother nature has agreed with us so far. Keep the cool weather and we will be happy at TMS. Enjoy a wonderful weekend.

Open House is September 17th

We are hoping you can make it to our fall Open House on September 17th from 6:00-7:30. Parents are invited (students get the night off) to see their child's classroom teachers as well as meeting the Unified Arts teachers. Hope you can join us!

Student Information Form

Recently, an email was sent in regards to completing the Student Information Form. The information form, accessible through the parent portal, is used to collect items such as family information, emergency contact data, and medical permissions. It is crucial that you complete this form as soon as possible. Failure to submit this form will affect your student’s ability to attend field trips, participate in after-school activities, and receive medications from the school nurse. Student Information Form can be found in the left-hand column of your child's Parent Portal account.

The TMS/THS Late Bus will begin on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, and will run every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the school year. The bus departs TMS at 4:00pm and will cost $1.00 to ride. Sign-ups and bus tickets will be sold and money will be collected during all lunch periods on that Late Bus Day. The Late Bus schedule and Late Bus routes have been posted under “Transportation/Bus Routes” on the TMS, THS and district websites.

Homework Club will start on September 24th as well. Students do not need to pay for Homework Club. Homework Club runs in conjunction with the Late Bus, and is held 2:00-4:00pm with a teacher/advisor.

PLEASE NOTE: The Late Bus route does not follow the regular pick-up and drop-off routes. The route will depend on ridership that particular day. The bus company will try to drop the students as close to their homes as possible.

Here at TMS we offer various co-curricular after-school activities and clubs, with a $75.00 sign-up fee for certain clubs. Our offerings include Student Council and Robotics Club, and Knowledge Bowl with Mr. Pendergast. In-school announcements will be made for all students, and more information will be coming in future parent emails, so stay tuned!
