Wow! Words cannot express how grateful we are for our PTC, volunteers, and all those who turned out for the return of the Fun Fair. The silent auction (online and in person) generated ~$70,000 which will serve to fund Innovation Grants for our staff and other Avoca District community building events. What a blessing it is to lead and learn in a community with so much strength and support!

Though I typically take this time to share and applaud our student VIPs, I'm thrilled that we were able to welcome Dr. Sandra Arreguin (and her super supportive husband, Roberto) to last week's Board of Ed meeting and to our District for years to come! In a female-dominated educational field, it's not as common to have female leaders rise to the top of school and district administration. Dr. Arreguin's background and accomplishments in education and leadership stand for themselves and will be a HUGE add to our Avoca team and community. She also embodies the Avoca District Mission as we strive to Inspire Curiosity, Cultivate Academic Excellence, and Nurture Diversity.
