Specialties
Don't forget to send your specialty book exchange gift in by Wednesday!!
Student still need to finish their power points. We will spend next Wednesday in the lab and also Friday, January 8th. If your child doesn't finish it by then they will need to work on it at home. It might be a good idea to work on this a little bit over break.
Students also received a list of all the pages we have worked on, with the exception of several for next week. Please check the list with the pages in their binder. If students are missing any please highlight the missing pages and return to me.
Literacy
Due to the Otis Lennon testing this week we didn't have Daily 5. We did however take the time to follow up with some review on cause and effect, parts of speech and figurative language.
In writing students wrote what they would do if they lived in a snow globe. These are hanging on our bulletin board for you to enjoy.
Math
This week we have been working on place value for whole numbers and decimals. We have also been naming decimals and changing it to a fraction.
We will have our chapter 5 test before break next Wednesday. We will review on Tuesday.
We continue to have our multiplication quiz on Tuesday and Thursday, however we will not do these next week due to our chapter test and some holiday activities.
