ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendance during summer school is imperative to student success. The classroom teacher will take attendance at the beginning of each class period. Due to the shortened instructional calendar and intensive study of the classroom content, missing one class period is equivalent to missing two class periods during a regular school semester. With that in mind, students need to attend ALL CLASSES DAILY to successfully complete the summer school coursework. Students who are absent TWO OR MORE DAYS are in jeopardy of not earning their credit.
Students participating in summer activities such as academic/athletic/music camps, vacations, etc. are
not excused from adhering to summer school attendance policies.
PARKING
The designated student parking area will be parking Lot #7, north of the field house. Drivers and their passengers are to enter through Door #1 and report directly to class.
TRANSPORTATION
Bus transportation will be provided before and after school only. Students attending only a partial day are expected to provide their own transportation to and from school and leave the building immediately at the conclusion of their class. Students who are enrolled in Period 2 or 3 only must provide their own transportation to school. They may ride the bus home after school if transportation has been requested.
If you have transportation questions, please call 317- 532-2820.
STUDENT DROP-OFF
Families may drop students off at Door #1 beginning at 7:00 a.m. Student drivers should enter and exit the building using Door #1. As construction continues around campus this summer, access to the West side of the building and 18th street will be restricted. Please enter campus off of 21st street or Mitthoeffer Road.
OUT OF ASSIGNED AREA
Warren Central High School is a closed campus. Students may not leave campus during the school day without permission from school personnel. Students found out of their assigned area may be subject to disciplinary action.
STUDENT CONDUCT
Student Conduct
In order to provide the best learning environment possible, students are expected to follow the Code of Student Conduct set forth by the school board in the Student Success Handbook and classroom rules outlined by the teacher.
SUMMER FOOD DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION
STILL TIME FOR VIRTUAL FOR 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR
Warren Central will be offering two distinct options for your child’s needs for the 2021-2022 school year
Option #1--Your may attend school in person.
Option #2--Your child may attend our Warren Online Academy.
The Warren Online Academy will be majority asynchronous. Meaning students will be required to complete work independently without daily live instruction from a teacher. The Warren Online Academy is by application only and will have a limited number of students enrolled.
According to Dr. Hanson, " Applications will remain open until late July. It is our plan for the 21-22 school year to return to IN-PERSON 5 days a week. More details will be provided as we get closer to the start of the school year."
As a part of the new process, parents/caregivers will be required to submit an application if they would like their child to participate in the 9-12 online model. Please find the application links for the 21-22 school year below.

QUALITY OF LIFE IN INDIANAPOLIS FOR BLACK AMERICANS
Greetings!
As promised, our community engagement continues! A survey is now available seeking your perspective on the quality of life for Black Americans in Indianapolis/Marion County. The Indianapolis Urban League and African American Coalition of Indianapolis (AACI) have formed the Indianapolis African American Quality of Life Initiative. This initiative is made possible by a $100 million grant from Lilly Endowment and will provide funding opportunities to address challenges facing the African American community in Indianapolis. The information gathered will help shape the grant making process associated with Lilly Endowment’s contribution.
We ask that you take a few moments to complete the survey by clicking the link below. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you’ve completed the survey, please share the link with everyone you know! This is time sensitive as the survey will be available for the next 30 days. We request your help to make this gathering of information a success!
Thank you for your participation in this process thus far and we will keep you informed of all additional engagement opportunities!

Anyone age 12 and older may now schedule a COVID-19 vaccination appointment. Click here to register or call 211 (866-211-9966) if you do not have access to a computer or need assistance. Walk-in appointments are also accepted at most vaccination sites.
When you enter a ZIP code to search for a vaccination site, you will find several vaccination locations near you. The site’s information will include which vaccine is likely available at the site (excludes sites in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program other than Walmart). You can click “Find Next Available Appointment” to get to the soonest date and time. Zoom out on the map to expand your search. If you don’t see the vaccination site you’re looking for, it’s possible that all appointments are full.
Please note that anyone younger than 18 must receive the Pfizer vaccine. It is the only vaccine to receive Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA for that age group. Proof of age will be required at the time of vaccination.
Received the vaccine? Make sure you sign up for the v-safe after vaccination health checker.
