Parenting Resources - Helping our children through the holidays
The holidays bring so much excitement for our children, yet we expect them to always behave. :) Here is a nice article to help with those holiday manners.
Family of the Week
Meet the Spurlock Family
Tell us about your family:
We have 3 crazy kids - all 3 have gone to Merryhill! Our oldest is Kaylin; she is in 8th grade and goes to a fine arts academy where she is in the Chamber Orchestra. Kennedy attends Merryhill and is in the 4th grade; she loves gymnastics and Merryhill! Our youngest is Michael II and is in the 1st grade at Merryhill; he loves all sports and currently plays outdoor and indoor soccer, as well as flag football. My husband and I both work for Arlington ISD.
What is your favorite Merryhill memory:
Over the past 13 years, we have so many, but I guess it has to be our years in Ms. Pam's class. Ms. Pam had all 3 of my children, and we loved every minute. She is loving and patient and just what every 3 year old needs in their little lives.
Initially I chose Merryhill due to the proximity to my school; however, now we could not imagine sending our children anywhere different. It truly is like an extended family for us. We have no hesitations about dropping our children off each day. We know that they are loved and educated, and we know that the teachers and staff go above and beyond if there is ever an issue.

Winter Parties / Winter Break
We will be having winter parties and a book exchange in every classroom on Thursday, December 21st. The sign up sheets for the parties are posted on each classroom door. Please sign up to bring an item. In addition, we ask that each child bring a wrapped book that is appropriate for your child's age for the book exchange. There is a $10 price limit on the books.
Our Winter Break field trips and activities for our elementary students have been sent home and are available on our website as well. We look forward to a fun time for all!
