  • The Veteran's Day program was awesome! A special thanks to Mr. Hutton, Mr. Tom, and Mr. Don for coming in to talk to us about their personal experiences.
  • We will be having a canned food drive next week. Please think about donating 1 item that will help someone in a time of need.
  • I have told the students that they are allowed to bring books from home to read after they complete their work at certain times of the day. Please consider sending some books your child enjoys reading for their desk. Students become better readers the more they practice reading. Especially when it is books they enjoy!

We read Time to Plant and The Big Yuca Plant this week. We also read other stories where we practiced the skill of long i and plurals. Our grammar skill was present tense verbs.

Your child can work on the Raz-Kids website at anytime for more practice on reading comprehension. If you think your child's level is too easy let me know and I can increase the difficulty. The teacher username is: smitchellav
