Fueling up Kids with Free Summer Meals!
Summer vacation is right around the corner. Even though kids may not be in class, they can still power their minds and bodies with a nutritious meal. Poudre School District Child Nutrition is feeding kids this summer…for free! Any child, age 18 or younger, in Larimer County can receive free meals this summer from May 31 – July 29. There will be no meal service on July 4th.
Meals will be provided to all children at no charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination during the meal service. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

2022-2023 Werner School Year Information
Bus requests now open for 2022-23
PSD aims to transport as many students as possible to and from school. To ensure that families needing transportation receive this service, riders must now apply for busing each year, even if they’ve had busing before. Families may submit a PSD bus request for the 2022-23 school year here.

Fort Collins Fresh Food Share is one of the Food Bank’s two fresh food pantries. Clients can choose from a variety of fresh foods, including fruits, vegetables, milk, cheese, bread and yogurt. Through Food Share, guests can also receive government commodities through the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). Eligible seniors can also pick up senior boxes through the Commodities Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday • 10 am – 3 pm. Wednesdays 12 pm – 3 pm
Poudre High School Mobile Pantry • 201 S. Impala Dr. • Fort Collins
During the COVID-19 crisis, the Food Bank is hosting pop-up mobile food pantries throughout Larimer County. Anyone in need of food is welcome to attend. The pantries are “drive-through” where clients can receive a variety of pre-selected food items. Spanish translation will be available.

The Food Bank for Larimer County has partnered with UCHealth and the Family Medicine Center to provide a fresh food pantry at their clinic in Fort Collins. The pantry is open to all (patients & non-patients) and provides a variety of food, including fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, milk, cheese, bread and Noosa Yoghurt.

Vindeket Food Pantry • 1317 Webster Ave. • Fort Collins
Vindeket is a group of local people providing food to families of Fort Collins. They provide a variety of different items: yogurt, milk, eggs, cheese as well as bakery products and shelf stable food items.

Provides food bank resources and services to the Wellington Community. 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month, 3-4:30 pm. Check the Wellington Food Pantry facebook page for locations.
North 40 Food Pantry

North 40 is a group of volunteers and local agencies that provide food to families of the mountain communities of Red Feather Lakes and Livermore. Fridays from 10 am – 12 pm (both locations)

One of many ways information is shared is through the PSD Now community newsletter, which features timely information about the latest happenings in the district. This is emailed to families and interested community members about every other Thursday.
FREE & REDUCED MEAL PROGRAM
It’s not too late to apply for the Free & Reduced Meal Program for this school year. By doing so your student’s approval to the program carries over for the first 30 days of next school year. Also, there are advantages to being on this program with discounts given throughout our community for student summer programs. Check out fcgov.com/reducedfee website for more information. The before and after school program, AlphaBest, also gives a 15% discount. Apply on-line at www.myschoolapps.com. Please note that August 1, 2022 is the first day you can apply on line for the 2022-2023 school year. Families do have to apply each school year unless they receive a letter stating otherwise.
