Bennett Peek of the Week
April 1st through April 10th
The mission of Bennett Elementary School
Per the declaration by Governor Doug Burgum, Fargo Public Schools will remain closed until further notice. Distance learning will begin on Wednesday, April 1st.
Dear Bennett Family,
Thank you for your patience as we all adjust to Distance Learning. This will be an interesting journey and Bennett staff are committed to doing their best to support your child/children during this time.
We know we will need to be flexible in order to support every student as each family situation is unique. Teachers have been reaching out to check on students and families, while at the same time adjusting to changes within their own families.
Teachers have been working to creatively meet students’ needs while Bennett is closed. Our goal is to make sure learning continues without overwhelming everyone during this uncertain time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher if you have questions about academics or community resource!
I absolutely speak for all the staff at Bennett when I say we miss your child/children and hope everyone at your house is healthy and happily adjusting to the current situation!
Best wishes!
Ms. Schafer
HOME LEARNING BOARDS
Parents,
There are lots of resources located on the Bennett website.
https://www.fargo.k12.nd.us/bennett
You received packets with your child's belongings, on pick up day, of the weekly learning boards. These boards are created to align to our Essential Learning Outcomes in each grade level. They cover:
- Literacy
- Exercise
- Arts
- Regulation (Social Emotional)
- Numbers
Students can work on one square in each column, each day. For a week, we are looking for a blackout (like BINGO) of the board.
You can find instructional videos that go along with the learnings each week on the link below. There are also directions attached in this message.
