Alliteration
Definition: The repetition of initial sounds of words in a row.
Ex. "At the far end of the town where the Grickle grass grows.
Onomatopeia
Definition: It is a word that mimics the sound of the object or action it refers to. When you pronounce a word, it will mimic the sound.
Ex. SLUPP!
Personification
Definition: The author gives human qualities to an object or animal.
Ex. Humming-Fish humming while splashing.
Hyperbole
Definition: Is an exaggeration which may be used for emphasis and humor.
Ex. "Once-ler" he cried with a cruffulous crook.
Assonance
Definition: Repetition of internal vowel sounds of words close together in poetry.
Ex. Once-ler your making such smogulous smoke!
