Read Across America Week is Feb. 28 - March 4
In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd, the nation takes a week to place a spotlight on reading. To celebrate this special week at Cottonwood School we will have Spirit Dress Up Days, A Hat Decorating Contest, Classroom Activities, and resources to have Virtual Family Reading Nights all week long. So find a good book and get cozy, it's time to get your READING ON!

Monday, 2/28 In honor of Green Eggs and Ham wear Green. | Tuesday, 3/1 In honor of Cat in the Hat wear your favorite hat. | Wednesday, 3/2 In honor of the Lorax wear a mustache. |
Thursday, 3/3 In honor of The Sleep Book, wear your pajamas. | Friday, 3/4 In honor of Fox in Socks wear your favorite silly socks. | 2/28-3/4 Family Read Alouds will be available for your Family Watch throughout the week. |
Hat Decorating Contest
Put on your thinking caps and create a fun hat for the annual Hat Decorating Contest. Your hat can be any shape, made from any materials, and be jam packed with fun! Let your imaginations run wild! If you are interested in picking up a hat from school to decorate, they will be available in the office on Wednesday, February 23rd between 8:00-10:00 a.m. or all day on Monday, February 28th. To enter the Hat Decorating Contest, please make sure your child's decorated hat is at Cottonwood School on Tuesday morning for judging,
