Here's what you can ask your 2nd grader this week:

What are some helping verbs?
How does a reader make their own information when they are reading information books?
What was the beginning of Holy Week called? Why didn't the church leaders want people praising Jesus?
Who can vote for government leaders?
What were some groups of people that didn't originally have the right to vote?
What did you do to prepare to publish your writing as a video recording?
What happens when you mix substances? What substances did you mix? What happened? Could you take the mixture back apart?

Important News and Notes

Humphrey the Hamster will be making a visit to your home! Your child should write in his journal from the perspective of Humphrey. Pictures can be printed at home or emailed to me and I will print them! Drawn pictures are perfectly fine too!
April 14th- We will be baking cookies and bread with our Japanese volunteer, Rei. Please watch for a list of ingredients that we could use for our measuring/baking adventure!
April 14th- Real egg shells (rinsed) needed!

On April 24th, we will celebrate "Poem in Your Pocket Day" by keeping a copy of a favorite poem in our pocket to read to as many people as possible! Join in the fun by having a poem in your pocket too!
