Miss Maudie's opinions
Miss Maudie's opinion of the Radley's is that they're isolated and judged by the town, as she tells Scout "Arthur Radley just stays in the house, that's all". Miss Maudie is admirable of Atticus, scout tells Miss Maudie how he is isolated and keeps to himself but Miss Maudie tells scout "Atticus finch is the same in his house as he is on the public streets." Ms. Maudie's opinion of the children is that they're adventurous, innocent and curious. They have much to learn. On the other hand Miss. Maudie doesn't favor Miss. Crawford because she's careless, rude and judgemental.
I see you talking that smack Chismosa Crawford
Don't listen to judgmental false opinions be wise scout
Why has Harper Lee included Miss Maudie as a main character?
Student Response
Harper Lee included Miss Maudie to be the reasoning for the stupidity of racism. She is also there to show that one shouldn't be prejudice because of the color of ones skin. Miss Maudie is there to teach Scout and to guide her.
