Fundraising Update - October 21, 2015

Chili Supper Tickets

Band students received their Chili Supper Tickets on Wednesday, Oct. 14 afternoon.


We have extended the selling deadline from this Friday to Wednesday, Oct. 27.


Tickets sold by students who are going on the trip to New York:

  • Pre-sale tickets must be turned in by Oct. 27 for students to get this credit. We need this time in order to be sure we are properly prepared for the number of people who are purchasing tickets. Any tickets turned in after the 27rd will go into the general fund.
  • Ticket money should be returned to the Booster Box in an envelope that is clearly labeled with the student's name. Any money in the envelope that was received as a donation should be listed. Donations will go directly toward the student's trip cost.



Tickets sold by those not going on the trip to New York:

  • All proceeds will go directly to the general fund for the band.



As with other fundraisers where students received part of the revenue, we first have to cover the cost of the product before we start to add money to student trip accounts.

Silent Auction Items: Team Baskets / Band Grocery Cart

Each selling team of students is responsible for providing the items to fill a basket. Students were put into teams and chose their basket themes last Wednesday. These items need to be returned to the Band Room no later than next Thursday, Oct. 28. We are also asking teams to bring in a basket or container and wrapping for their items (these can be purchased for $1 at the Dollar Tree). The Boosters will be wrapping baskets as they need to record the items inside and tag everything for the auction.



In addition, we are asking students to bring in one or two non-perishable grocery item to fill a grocery cart we are going to auction off. In addition to food, you can consider other household items you would normally purchase at a store such as sandwich bags, cleaning items, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.


Also, if you are going to Business for Silent Auction items, please let Tina know. It looks very bad when she goes into a business to ask for a donation and they tell her they have been hit up three times. She has the official letter that business need for tax deductions. Please realize that getting items for your basket are things you need to purchase.

Butter Braids, Sally Lane, and Fruit

The next fundraiser will begin just as the Chili Supper is taking place.


We will be selling Butter Braids, Sally Lane candy, and fruit from 11/2-11/16.


Students will receive all of the profit from this fundraiser.

Pictures with Santa

The Pictures with Santa fundraiser will take place beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving and run through the weekend before Christmas.


This is a fundraiser will benefit our general band fund, which is in need of a boost. All band students will be expected to participate.


More information will be coming out about this fundraiser closer to the date.
